Thank you with all our hearts. We are so thankful for everyone’s hard
work and taking time out of their very busy lives to help find a cure for
Cystic Fibrosis. On March 19th,
we had 340 Jumpers that helped us raise $145,000. We will be sending $178,000 into the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation that will buy us precious research. In the last 10 years, you amazing and wonderful people have helped us raise approx. $850,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
When Jacqueline was diagnosed 10 years ago, I was
33 years old. When we were told
that the median age for a person with cystic fibrosis was 30 years of age, we
were devastated. I could not
believe that I had already lived longer than what scientists expected
Jacqueline to ever be. We
were not going to accept that. We immediately decided we were NOT going down
without a fight. We were NOT going
to give in. We were going to give
it everything we had so we could watch Jacqueline live a long life. We wanted Jacqueline to be able
to dream about what it is that she wants to be when she grew up. That is when our journey began.
Thanks to all of YOU, the median age is now 39.2
years of age. We are buying
Jacqueline the gift of time. In
the last 10 years, we have bought Jacqueline 10 years of life. YOU did
that! The light is at the end of
the tunnel. It is no longer a
myth. It will become a reality in
the next two years. Because of
you, Cystic Fibrosis is no longer a death sentence. YOU helped us do that.
YOU helped finding a cure become a reality. If you ever question if you make a difference on this planet
earth, the answer is YES. As only
30,000 children and young adults have cystic fibrosis, you are their Hope. Jacqueline is living proof. There are no words that can express how
thankful we are for that.
Because of you, we will continue to watch
Jacqueline run up and down the soccer field like a maniac. She is always the smallest but she runs
the biggest girls down like a tank.
Fearless! We will listen to
her continue dreaming about being the next professional woman soccer player or
gym teacher; as she thinks they are equal. We will watch her live life with her big smile. Thank you with all our heart and soul
for that.
