To Barb, Carol, Dana, Karen,
Kristen, Patti C. & Patti V.
I am so blessed and honored that you are my
girlfriends. I thank you with all
my heart and soul for the bazillion hours making phone calls during soccer
practices, dance classes, runs, ski slopes and wherever you may be. For some of you, and you know who you
are, I am thankful that your brain goes a million miles a minute. Yes, it takes two sentences to catch
up, but I do. Thank you all for speaking to anyone that would listen about our
Fundraiser. Freezin’ will be a
success because of all that you do.
This poem is dedicated to you.
I love you all.
“Who Are My Girlfriends”
They are:
Girlfriends who inspire you to be your best
Girlfriends who sell raffle tickets in 5
degree weather and are completely numb; all for the sake of buying your child
more birthdays
Girlfriends who run 20 miles in the rain
and say “it’s all good”
Girlfriends who rejoice your triumphs and
help pick up the pieces of your failures
Girlfriends who know all about you and
still love you anyway
Girlfriends who are ready to run someone
over for you and back up to make sure the job is done
Girlfriends who come and save the day when
you have 102 fever and dance their hearts away to make a dance-a-thon a success
Girlfriends who are always honest with you,
even when you don’t want them to be
Girlfriends who give silent hugs that make
you feel that everything is going to be okay
